"sumalee" The Clouded Leopard

by Kari Nanstad

Photo taken by me this weekend while attending Point Defiance Zoo's feeding of the new Clouded Leopard Cubs. "Sumalee" means flower in Thai. Thailand is one of the native habitats of Clouded Leopards. Apparently, these cats are noted for supporting longer tails which are used for balancing as they climb and cross tree branches many feet above ground. Point Defiance Zoo is supporting these cubs in hopes of learning how to keep them from becoming extinct. Thank you Point Defiance Zoo for your work and dedication to these fine animals!

Hi Ellen: Thank you so much for your support and kindness! No problem, I try to learn to speak different languages, some Spanish, Italian, but I am not sure about Brazilian or Portuguese. You write English very well!
