Echo From An Earlier Time

by Peter Krause

Long abandoned out here this grand old dame, of what seems like aeons ago, from Earth's early ventures into deep space, floats . Its engines have long stilled. Its core still probably volatile or was it decommissioned? Evidence of a collision with a small asteroid can be seen on its hulk. It should be towed back to Earth and restored. A worthy exhibit for the newly upgraded Smithsonian Institute Air and Space Museum. We might organise that for our return journey but right now we are due to rendezvous with the Starship Cannigour in just under forty Earth hours. Nebula created in Photoshop. Spaceship model courtesy of "Innovari":www.innovari.it Asteroids created in Bryce 6.

Many thanks MsgtBob. Appreciate it. Those stars are part of a would-be logo for a futuristic, made-up space agency I created for some of my sci fi images. Cheers.

Pretty! But what's with the stars in the bottom right?
