Bio: Self tought out of pure passion for creativity. Just turned 33, and just working a regular job. I've been with my company for 10 years now, so at least I have job security. I took a few classes in collage, but never had enough money to go full time. Which is something I would love to have done. Being creative is my way of relaxing and expressing that which resides within my soul. All constructive critisism is welcome, I want to learn and get better. Photoshop is my new addiction. And I'm just learning, but having so much fun. Here I wanted to capture what I feel when I watch fish swim in a happy environment. I love aquariums, and in fact I was just gifted one, but it will be a while before I can set it up, since the filters and all the other necessary equipment cost quite a bit. So needless to say this was a pleasure to make. The bubbles are actually Christmas lights bokeh, sprinkled with a rounded brush uploaded from Advanced Photoshop Magazine. Then I distorted and used a lot of gradient tool to complete my rainbow school of fish. I blurred some of the fishes in the back to create that illusion of depth. The final touch was cloning the bubbles back over, for even more depth. To make the fish blend in I used a blur tool to go over the cut out edges. This took about 2 days to create, told you, I'm just a newbie. = ) Qote by - ~Albert Einstein I've been so busy lately, I haven't had the time to do any work, but I thought I should at least upload some of my favorite photoshoped pictures of mine. Here I enhanced the colors with saturation and I applied color doge to brighten the shot up a bit = ) I'm not a city kind of girl, but there are times when even the city can have it's charm. Thank you PC This is by far, so far my most favorite tutorial from Photoshop Creative magazine featured in issue 37. Many compliments to Jenny Lloyd for this gorgeous master piece. I am a light addict, and love that enchanted feeling. I have learned so much while making this. For one - to make that perfect glow, you take the lamp then use guassian blur ( in this case I did that twice ), and then put the lamp on top of the blur. At the very end I went to Image - adjustments - equalize to darken the piece a bit and give it that evening feeling. By the way I just saw Avatar, a really really good movie. And if you are the sensetive type like me, bring a tissue = ) This is a tutorial from issue 57. I really liked the water color effects, but I thought I try this in different colors. =) The original flowers were blue, and of course there was no neon green splatter through out, but I like how this came out, kind of tripy and nice at the same time. Finally I am starting to understand layers. I bought a book by Matt Kloskowski "The Complete Guide To Photoshop's Most Powerful Feature Layers", and it was most helpful. I'm only on chapter 2, can't wait to finish the whole book. When I first started working on this piece, I really had a different vision, but that's my favorite part about photoshop, just playing around with pictures, and creating something that I didn't expect. = )I hope everyone is having a great 2010 so far. I am amazed at what photoshop has to offer. The possibilities seem endless. This is a combination of two tutorials from issue 52 and 53. I made a few mistakes here, and I also learned a whole bunch. My first mistake was not including the body, and now it kind of looks like a floating head, but a pretty floating head, lol. Also I think I should have included more in the background, but I flatened the image to soon. And again I still can't get that layer thing down. For anyone who has time and PC2, and would like to help me, I would most appriciate it. This was originally going to be just one tutorial, but I kind of got stuck with directions, so I had to come up with some other things. I'm kind of glad that I have been playing around with photoshop for about 2 years now, but only to enhance my photography. I never did any tutorials, and often had to figure things out on my own. In this piece I came up with the glow around her by going to "layers", then "drop shadow", and "overlay" which in this case was aquamarine. But I am finding out thanks to PCM, that there are much simpler ways to do things. This took me about 5 hours to make, and it was only an hour tutorial. I hope I get better soon. If you have any questions on how I made anything, just drop me a line. My first fantasy type illustration. I started with a picture of a mermaid by Alaskan dude, and I used the bubbles texture by Monti2008, thank you to both for providing free images. I feel like the faces here could have been a tad better, but that's something that I still have to learn to do. To make the couple I used a lot of \"Free Transform\" tools. I wonder what one day my style is going to be, as I don't yet have one. I guess that's comes with time and experimentation. = ) This is a photomanipulation.
