This Photoshop painting was based on the design of a tattoo I did on a friend of mine (Yes, I&#39;m also a trained tattooist) using the basic pencil flash design as a startpoint. It went through a lot of permutations after that, with a lot of reshaping using the Liquify tool and lots of texturing. Developed from an earlier pen and ink illustration. The mantis and the native have been thoroughly retooled and repositioned a few times.<br />This piece was created using Photoshop 7 and a Wacom Graphire Tablet over a scan of my original pen drawing. Fantasy magical undead warrior. A lonely, sterile world dormant for aeons, where sentinel statues (or are they fossils?) stare blankly into the eternal night....but in one fallen form appears a flicker of awakening....<br /><br />Another image generated purely with Photoshop and my Wacom tablet.&nbsp; All the textures and patterning derived from layers of filters. The statues and background were generated seperately and were sitting unused in my files for some time. I took the opportunity with this one to practice using adjustment layers, which made things easier. An abandoned artifact sinks into disrepair in a public park in Luton Photoshop repaint of a biro and gel-pen sketch, with a photographic background. This is a work in progress of an alien girl, which started with a pencil sketch of the face and has grown on Photoshop Robot Angels harvest artificial "Souls" from the slain in a ravaged wasteland. Visitor from a highly advance culture needs no spacesuit or armour with her robot guardian by her side. This was completely painted using Photoshop 7. I first hashed the characters in with just a mouse and put it in my junkpile to work on later. Then I got hold of my Wacom Graphire tablet and needed a piece to experiment with and see what I could do with it An Illustration from "The Forgotten Spell" by Louisa Dent Pearce (2nd Edition 2013) created by first rendering in detailed pencil work then colouring and refining using Photoshop and a Wacom Graphire tablet
